The engine in the 540 is an M62 4.4 liter V8 and the seller/owner of this car thinks anyone gives a shit or understands the "4.4" badge.

This car is going to sell for the price of the used m-pars on it. It is a no reserve and someone will get this car for peanuts. May be the worst presentation of a car I have ever seen on BaT with zero seller engagement. I bought my E39 2003 540 off BaT.

Saw an F33 today (could have been a 428 or 430). M badges on the side gills, and “F33” on the trunk (in place of the factory badges). 🤔 A nice looking car nonetheless.

Unless I'm missing something one that one – and I very well could be – I really don't think license plate frames count. No one's trying to fool anyone into thinking they have something they don't with a plate frame. I think that's more of a general "BMW enthusiast" thing as ///M is highly representative of the brand.
