This happens with every brand. My first car was a Mitsubishi eclipse way back in 1992. I didn't have the GSX model, but saw many that would add the spoiler from the GSX & the emblem on the back to try to pass their's off as the GSX.

I still have my 2G GSX. Not sure I'll ever get rid of the thing - I just can't part with it and I love the look of DSMs. Totally agree with what you said about GSX badging and that happening with other car groups: WRX non-STI with STI badges, Golf "R" badges, the list goes on.

I don't have pictures, but over the last 2 weeks I caught 2 Lexus RC350s with the quad stack F exhaust. I posted on the Reddit Lexus site that this seemed tacky, and was met with a lot of backlash.

So my question is this, if you add quad stack exhausts to your RC350 but DO NOT try and upbadge it, is that good or bad? I think it is tacky but I said that already lol

Hey! Whoa now! I love my IS500!

But it's a completely different animal than the 350 models.

I actually had a 2017 Lexus IS350. It was super boring. Couldn't wait to get out of that car.

But the V8 completely changes the IS to exactly what the car should have been in the first place.

It's really no different than adding aftermarket exhaust or other parts from different models. I mean I've added wheels from a higher model to my cars, I added a hood from a higher model to a couple vehicles because I liked how it looked more than the standard hood.
