2014 M Sport Edition BMW 6 Series
BIMMERPOST NEWS 2014 M Sport Edition BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition BMW 6 Series. Elegant and athletic design provides a perfect setting for the added functionality and value of the M Sport Edition in the BMW 6 Series. Woodcliff Lake, N.J. - May 16, 2013… Sumptuous flair and alluring athleticism come together in the BMW 6 Series models to invest these premium luxury-class vehicles with hallmark driving fun. The new M Sport Edition offers a particularly exclusive opportunity to highlight the dynamic attributes of the BMW 6 Series Coupe, BMW 6 Series Convertible and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. With their harmoniously coordinated design details and ultra-high-quality range of features, the BMW 6 Series models in M Sport Edition guise deliver a driving experience that satisfies the most discerning requirements. The M Sport Edition is available on all models and engine variants of the BMW 6 Series range (including xDrive models) and will be available from July 2013 production. Pricing for the BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition adds $4,600 to the base MSRP of the 6 Series Convertible, $4,800 to the 6 Series Coupe, and $5,300 to the 6 Series Gran Coupe. The M Sport Edition models of the BMW 6 Series are based on the traditional M Sport package, comprised of a model-specific M aerodynamics package, 19-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design, LED foglamps, the BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow Line trim, black-painted brake calipers and exhaust tail pipes in dark chrome. The interior features an M leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers, M driver’s footrest, and sport seats in nappa leather, as all of which enhance the exclusive ambience of the BMW 6 Series. Furthermore, the BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition adds the superb new Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster, Full LED Adaptive Headlights, and the comprehensive Executive Package. 650i and 650i xDrive models further benefit from the inclusion of the Driver Assistance Package. All M Sport Edition models of the BMW 6 Series also have the option of Sakhir Orange Metallic M exterior paint. This color was previously reserved for the iconic, ultra-high performance BMW M6. Another added option available for the BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition is interior upholstery in BMW Individual Merino Leather in Opal White with contrasting seams in Sakhir Orange. This choice serves to accentuate not only the sporty attributes inherent to the 6 Series, but also enhances its luxurious character. |

I think M-sport ruins this car. Apart from the 7-series, every M-sport package ruins the premium look of the car. I remember when the E39 M-sport had the real M5 body kit. Why not just make it like that?

XDrive35i, i think thats the point. People who get the M-Sport DO NOT want the "Premium" look. (At least most people)

the F30 looks so much nicer with the M sport package. I also prefer the M Sport on the F25, although it doesn't make as big of a difference as it does on the F30. The front bumper looks mean as hell with the M sport. |

Yeah I personally LOVE the look of a non-M 6-series with the 20" rims. Classy.

Yh that's the point. I prefer the sporty look. If I ever considered a bmw outside of an M. It def. wouldn't be one without an M sport pack. BMWs just look bland and boring without it.

In my opinion, the M Sport package "makes" the look of the GC. Transforms it from a "premium" (AKA "rich old lady" car) into something an enthusiast can be interested in, unless of couse the enthusiast is a rich old lady .
Since I already have one on order for a September ED, what I REALLY want to know is when the new complete ordering guide and revised pricing information will become available so I can get my order re-configured. It looks like this is a good deal if one was getting the previous M Sport package anyway together with certain other options. Hopefully Jason can acquire and post this info soon !!!! Thanks for the heads up. |

I like it but................. why the hell don't they include the rear deck spoiler??? We installed it on our 650i Coupe (M-pkg) and it looks awesome!! At least it should be a stand alone option???????

They're making it seem as though this is an all new package. M Sport has been available pretty much from the start of production for the F12/F13 ///M packages adorn pretty much every BMW product nowadays including bicycles. IMHO there is nothing wrong with sport packaged BMW's which is almost non-existent these days. Personally, save for a model or two, my former F12 included, unless its a full ///M (including the engine) I am okay with the Sport Package variants.
Just my two cents

Other than the blasphemy that is the M badge on the front side panel, what does this Edition include that the standard M Sport option does not?

With this Edition you get more options for less money
On the other hand it will look better debadged because the addition of that ///M on the fender is pure crap |

Those photos are from the '12/'13 catalog I have in front of me, with only the LED's added. Even the plate number is the same. They made a error however - the photo shows the optional 20" 373 wheels - not the 19" described.
Anyway bottom line this is a INCREDIBLE price cut. I want a M Sport 650 and just finished pricing out the changes with the Pkgs added. approx $8200 less for the M sport Edition!! And we get the digital dash to boot !! |

Agree -love the M sport styling, especially the front end - makes the non-M sport look bland. Almost like 2 different cars. |
