Chicago area tuner shops (list them here).
The only one I've dealt with in the past was Fall Line Motorports previously in Chicago, now in Northbrook.
http://www.fall-linemotorsports.com/...tsContact.html They were good but I'd like to hear about some others in the area. If you've had past experience with a local shop, list them here. |

^ Wow, that brings back memories. I had nearly forgotten about them. I remember sometime ago the owner giving me a ride in a newly sc'd E36 M3 around the shop grounds and my god; he just about made me crap my pants! Great experience though!
BTW, I took delivery yesterday and plan on tinting the windows tomorrow. H&R springs next, then I'll finish breaking her in and back up on the lift for dp's, cdv & a tune. |

Garage Kwai in Arlington Heights - I've never been to them and I haven't heard much about them, so I can't offer a recommendation either way.
Tuned1, I can't wait to see the mods on your car in person...I promised myself I wouldn't mod this car but it looks like I'll have to wait and see...

I can't for the weather to really improve so we can have a mid-west meet!

Well (knock on wood) I've only received a couple tickets for tint over the course of seven years so it hasn't been that bad. I've always tinted my cars and so have my other buddy's who drive exotics and thus far, we've been lucky in the ticket arena. Plus, I'm in the city and cops here have more important things to do. I also avoid public steet parking at all costs!

The last time I had a car with tinted windows, the cop followed me home and pulled me over in the driveway. He agreed not to ticket me if I started pulling the tint off the front windows on the spot. Which I did. No tint for me since. Of course, my 135i is registered in New Jersey, so maybe I can get away with it...
