My days of working in Boston and New York taught me a new term. DWOA Driving While Old and Asian. Not condoning the X5 thugs actions but there is likely to be more to the story? Anyone taking their highway dispute to the next level needs to think about the very high numbers of concealed carry licenses out there and many of those may not have the best impulse control.

Also pretty stupid to try to get into the back seat of the vehicle of a thug that just put a beat down on you. How did he think that was going to work out? Not a lot of smart going on here. There seldom is in road rage. Here's a tip. Dial 911. They most likely won't show up due to funding but at least you did the right thing.

Id laugh my ass of if someone else got into his X5 and drove off with it. Even just drive it 100 feet down the road and put it on the shoulder to get the it the eff out of the way and not impact 1000's of others behind.

First sign the X5 driver is an ahole wasn't him blocking the van or even getting out and physically assaulting the elderly driver. It was him tossing trash out his window just a few seconds into the video. What a fuggin' massive tool.

What's amusing is that there's heavy traffic so nobody is going anywhere. Why get mad?

Could have been that the X5 was driving aggressively and trying to forcefully merge instead of going with the flow and merging when it was his turn; I see that all the time usually a BMW or Audi. Happened to me a few weeks ago and I got all fired up. HEAVY traffic and everyone is just going with the flow then this (amazing looking W124 diesel wagon) Mercedes drove on the shoulder passing 10 cars and forced his way in front of me coming within an inch of hitting me. I know if I had that car I'd be driving cautiously to minimize any possibility of damage - they're pretty rare in the US.

Regardless of who started the incident, the person who gets out of their car is usually the one who started it to begin with. Also, the minivan driver should have closed his window and called 911. I'm not putting any blame on the victim, but you gotta have some common sense. I carry, and if someone gets out of their car, unless they try to break my window an harm me, I'm just gonna record it wait for the cops. Which has happened to me btw with my daughter in the car. However I wasn't in any harm and decided I didn't want to be on the 11 O'clock news lol.

Fortunately I've experienced road rage only once. I was on the freeway going a little over the speed limit in the middle lane, a white subaru cut into my lane, slammed on their brakes, and flipped me off. I figured he was having a bad day. Or a bad life.

Def close the windows, call 911, but i wouldn't wait. Since the X5 has blocked traffic it's opening up ahead. There is enough space to maneuver the van behind and in front of himself. Once the douchebag brethren is out of the X5, I'd be on the move again. He'd pursue of course, where I would lead him to a police station.

I would have pepper sprayed the crap out of that schmuck.. Have the police grade stuff too in all our vehicles and house. His eyes would still be burning. I also have a LTCF and firearm in my vehicle (in PA) as a very last resort.

I don't know, but it looks like the "thug" could have grabbed the keys of the minivan, hence the stupid move to get out and try to hop on the BMW?
