BMW Teases Next Gen 2024 X2 (U10) + Our Latest Info

BMW has just posted official teasers of the next-gen X2 (U10). From @ynguldyn at our future BMW info thread, here's the latest on the U10 X2:

U10 X2

Production from 11/23 to 10/33
Intro models: Worldwide sDrive18i, sDrive18d, sDrive20i, xDrive20i, xDrive25i, M35i xDrive, iX2 xDrive30; US xDrive28i, M35i.
03/24: Worldwide xDrive20d, iX2 eDrive20
Will include the electric iX2, same models as iX1. US may end up getting only xDrive28i and M35i xDrive.

Another dual clutch with poor software programming and lag? Please bmw- give us a real transmission on their ICE model.

It’s really lame they won’t bring the electric versions to the US forcing higher price tagged electric cars on us. The Ix1 is the perfect commuter for many here.

I think they're waiting on the Neue Klasse and release a slew of EVs.

This may very well be more true than not. BMW is still in the middle of a long term cost reduction program and introduction of new models is examined very closely.

I definitely prefer this kidney grill shape. For a while BMW did trapezoidal / hexagonal design language and this fits right in.

Silouette looks like a mini X6, especially the rear/trunk lid. You can see the “fat rolls”.

Me like a lot.

For me, the issue with the X1/X2 was the design/aesthetic felt like an afterthought. No plan but BMW decided to gather parts from the parts bin and “make a car”. The current-gen X1 to me looks well executed and more premium than prior gen. X2 looking like the same.

I don’t get the point of “illuminating kidney grills “, its taking away the mean look of BMW, too cheesy.
