WOW this looks VERY promising. I love how it seems like it looks and I think it’ll be really really good once the camo comes off. So happy bmw went with a more conservative but sleek design of the M5 and not something extremely Loud as they have been with other cars. The back looks like it’s going to be beautiful and sleek as well and the curves make it look like it flows a bit now to give it a wider stance than the F90 but who knows when the camo comes off we’ll really see. Just my speculation.

I do love it so far and excited for it. I hope the exhaust note isn’t as muted as it is in these videos though. We shall see

Production starts shortly after my current lease expires.

Each iteration of the M5, imo, has been a winner that they keep improving on.

Tough call between M8GC -vs- M5 (G90).

So far most of the reviews regarding the power train of the XM has been lackluster at best so I hope BMW doesn't ruin the next gen M5 with it. Realistically the current gen M5 was already making close to 700 as is so curious to see if this one is actually faster.

Has it been confirmed that the touring is coming to the US?

As far as I know, no formal confirmation yet (and probably won’t get one for a while still). However, one of the very credible posters (ynguldyn ) has indicated that it will in fact be coming here in previous posts.

Welp, this changes my thinking quite a bit. Lease on my ‘21 m5c is up in Nov., until seeing this vid I was planning to move on to some other car (maybe X6m, even pondering x7 m60i). I just wasn’t feeling the new 5 series renders. I think this video shows potential for an aggressive and progressively designed m5. If production begins in 7/24, I think I’ll just buy out my lease and wait for the new m5!

I think BMW is using the XM as a bit of a testing ground for this new powertrain. I'm sure they'll hammer out the issues before it gets put into the new 5er.

Nope, I agree too. F10 is/was a total letdown coming off of the V10 E60.
