Setting up email accounts idrive and BMW app

Hello,
i am trying to set my gmail, aol and apple email accounts in office application of the car both in the car and from BMW app.
Anything I choose such as POP3, POP3s, IMAP, IMAPs or user defined I get user name or password errors.
My details are correct and pop,imap,smtp settings correct.. I have tried all possible combilations to no avail.

I would appreciate any help

Those of us in the North America probably can't be of much help since most of us had 3G service which sunset in FEB/2022. We no longer have these Connected Drive services.

About the only thing I can still utilize in OFFICE is text messages...but that's probably through the blue tooth connection my phone has with my BMWs.

You may get better help if you revealed your model year (or build date)...and what version of iDrive you have: NBT4/NBT5/NBT6 ???

In the UK internet services are still active, i have subscribed and connected services such as weather and real time traffic information works

Slightly off topic from OP but related....When I switched iPhone from 8 to 12 mini, I lost the functionality of receiving text messages via the iDrive. Never did receive email ever. Anyone here use a 12 mini with the iDrive? Bluetooth and iDrive on the 12 mini works fine with music, phone conversations, etc.

Have you attempted to set text messages up in OFFICE (in iDrive)? If not, see if you can intuitively walk through it...if not, just type TEXT into the keyword search in the iDrive' owners manual...that should walk you through a step by step procedure.

Depending on if you have 3G or 4G service...email won't be available...but TEXT messages should still be capable unless your new IOS is not compatible for some reason.

Europe's & North America's 3G service has some differences. In Europe, there's still some features still usable even if you have 3G tech in your BMW. In a thread within the last 2 weeks...the topic about RTTI was being discussed and the forum member in Europe still had that service. Here in NA...any feature that operated over 3G...is dead.

Thanks Q, I have tried pretty much everything, except whatever it is that works. I am pretty much convinced that it is my phone. I might try and see if my wife's phone works properly. That would help narrow it down.

I just received an email from bmw connected drive team that bmw have stopped email accounts connection in the car because of low demand!
RTTI and weather work as normal.
