Stage1 93 octane wants to go stage 2
I have a 2014 BMW M6 Grand Coupe and I'm currently on bootmod3 stage 1 93 octane. I recently installed downpipes replaced ignition coils and spark plugs. I would like to upgrade to stage 2 93 octane but was afraid it may cause harm to my engine. On stage 2 you are allowed to get burble settings but not on stage 1 for some reason. Any fellow M6 driver can confirm it's safe to jump to stage 2 93 octane without issues.

I had bootmod3 on my F30 335i and you were able to get burbles whether it was Stage 1, Stage 2, or stock tune map. The burbles are controlled through the settings and can be turned up or turned down depending on your likes. Its weird to see that they would not offer that same feature on the M6 platform.

4 years now still with BM3 stage 2 without any problems, take care of maintenance like changing spark plugs, pre o2 sensors, maf sensors and everything will be ok
for ots stage 2 better to gap ur spark plugs to 0.022 check the link

I have stage 2 bootmod3 for a couple years. Zero issues. Runs strong as hell. Oil changes done every 2.5k or sooner. Plugs every 10k miles. I'm replacing plugs and coils now at 48k. You'll throw misfires if plugs aren't fresh. Otherwise zero issues here.
