Car Wash
So I take my beloved 6 GC to a self-service car wash. I just can’t see running her through one of those automated washes with their well-used, rock- and grit-laden brushes and then dried by a guy who rode a bicycle to work and thinks nothing of re-using a dropped towel when drying.
I go there with my own towels and micro-fiber wash mitts, etc. 9 times out of 10, the other patrons just grab the well-used, rock- and grit-laden brushes and scrub away on their paint like they are trying to rid the bathroom tiles of black mold. I never say anything to them, but I sure do think things. On the other hand, at least they are washing their cars. I’m on my way there this morning. Today is a wax day. Zymol Black Carnauba applied by hand - literally. You rub the sweet smelling wax between your hands until it liquifies and then apply it directly to her flanks. Lol! |

No, and keep taking care of your car. We all do...and we all do it "our way" whatever that is. I'd look in to Ceramic coating if you haven't already. I'm not saying that wax isn't something you shouldn't add to your process, I am saying that Ceramic coating offers extra benefits to the car.
