Got 285/35r20 and 325/30r20 Sport Cup 2s fitted to the car
Went with Ferrada FR8 wheels in 20x10" 25mm and 20x11.5" 18mm. I think they look great and the taller tyres fill out the guards quite well and bring the speedo up a bit, previously the car would be doing 95kmh while indicating 100kmh, now it is 97kmh at 100kmh.
No rubbing so far but haven't gone for a spirited drive yet either.

Ahh yep, that doesn't surprise me. I might visit the track for a short session or two but for me it really is just a set of summer tyres.

285/35r20 has a taller sidewall than the standard non M 6 series cars and is quite close to the 295/35r19 that comes stock on the rear 19" wheels on an M6 so yes you're definitely right there. That is part of the look I was going for.

Hi brad850csi! Are you on stock suspension? No fender rolling? Camber? I'm very interested in your experience because I couldn't find too many examples of people running 20x10 fronts. Your offset is very aggressive. It sticks out 12mm more compared to stock. Don't understand where you found that much room thyere :-)

https://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1543272 The only thing is that at 180 degree of steering lock and when going onto an angle such as going up a parking ramp the front tyres rub slightly on the vents that are in the plastic at the front of the wheel arch. I don't think this is due to the width but more the increased height of the 285/35r20. The Porsche Cup2 that came originally on the GT2RS is a 265/35r20 but is really wide with an 11.4" tread width vs the 285/35r20 I have which is 10.1". I might try and find some of those to fit at the start of next summer over here to see how they fit on the car.

I really like the style (and price) of HRE FF15, but they don't come in a perfect size for M6. What I want to do is run 20x10 ET40 with a 10mm spacer front and 20x10.5 ET26 with a 10mm spacer rear. Based on your experiments and my math that should clear both inside and outside with enough margin. What do you think? |

I'd be tempted to go with 20x10 33mm with no spacer as the top edge of the tyre will still be 3mm further out with a 275/35r20 than the stock 31mm offset wheels with a 265/35r20 tyre. However the 20x10" 40mm option would give you the ability to run a 10, 12, 15mm bolt on spacer to get the fitment where you want it to be. Based on my rear fitment, you could do the same sort of thing with the rear and go with a bunch of different spacer options. Honestly I'd probably say buy a pair of 10mm and 15mm with those offsets and try each spacer size at the front and the rear and see how you think things look best. There are a few threads about with people running 10mm to 15mm spacers on stock wheels which might make you think you could go with slightly larger spacers than 10mm with those offsets. Just do a search for spacer or spacers and you should find plenty of pics.

I've seen a few offset and fitment threads recently so I thought I'd casually bump my own thread so people see it again
