QUICK... Is M adaptive a must have?
Im at the dealership just about ready to pull the plug on an F80 M3 SO. It has EVERYTHING (DCT included) but M adaptive. Would you guys take it or is M adaptive a must have? Does it make a big difference?

i would take SO and full leather and adaptive suspension
but if youre limited by only those, then adaptive suspension > full leather. its an M not a S class...suspension characteristics > a fancy dashboard |

I drove both back to back. I honestly couldn't tell the difference even in sport+ but I'm ordering it anyways just to feel better about it since people say it's stiffer than non adaptive. Also don't want to look at the blank button

BMW of manhattan r a bunch of ripoffs, which is why they have been sitting on those m's for a while. I'm not dealing with them anymore. Actually bmw of Greenwich has a SO m3 with everything BUT the m adaptive which I really don't understand lol. I can take it off the lot here today. Or wait till next week and they will get me an AW m3 with adaptive, manual, everything except the safety package but no full leather. It's so/black interior.

Wait for the adaptive and 6mt, should be a good combo

I've test driven one with the adaptive and when in Sport Plus it is just too much so I opted one without it.
One thing to keep in mind if you're like me that's going to get a set of Coilovers in the future it is best to get the passive suspension to save yourself the trouble of coding out or adding a module to bypass the error code. |

I would get it but I would not say it is a "must" have.

I would take SO full leather - that is what I have I don't have adaptive suspension and don't regret it.

What's nice about the adaptive is you can leave it in comfort but if you need to corner hard or take a fast curve it'll adapt and stiffen up |

Not a must have unless you don't plan on modifying suspension. I couldn't really tell the difference. I plan to modify anyways. Id rather have the full leather thats what I see all the time. Plus you can always do suspension work can never really do back and get that badass full leather package.

at 1K a must
A Must- was in the same quandary as you and for 1k its well worth it (also went 6MT) Glad I went this way. if you have future mod plans, most after market suspension products will eventually be compatible with adaptive.

It wouldn't turn me off a car, mine just has standard suspension (which is plenty fine with me) but I would have taken the active suspension if it had been on the car.
