2012 650i and 640i/640d Spotted Again in White
BIMMERPOST NEWS 6-series Coupe Spotted Again in Alpine White Although the new 6-series coupe has already been spotted completely sans camouflage we continue to get prototype glimpses at various colors and configurations. Just spotted is the new Coupe in Alpine White, with standard body trim, ie. no M-Sport in both 650i and 640i/640d. The model range topping 650i is identified by its dual square exhaust tips and large 19 or 20" alloy wheels. The 640i or 640d features smaller dual split round tip exhausts and is seen with non-production testing wheels. The coupes spotted here also show off the new 6-series coupe's gorgeous LED angel eyes. Yet another difference seen on the two models is the presence of a glass panoramic roof on the 650i and standard metal roof on the 640i/640d. Whether this means the 650i will come standard with glass panoramic roof or is simply equipped with this option remains to be seen. Powertrains/drivetrain options will be the same as for the 6-series convertible, which can be found at http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455512 The 6-series coupe is expected to enter production in July of this year and should debut soon at a major autoshow sometime in the next 2-3 months. Look out for an internet reveal sometime before that! Attachment 483070

they don't care how it looks when they are testing. If that were the case they wouldn't put funny looking camo on it

I need some of that swirl stuff so everyone will think I am driving the next great thing. Can't say that I get the concept behind a big coupe. Put me in an M5 instead.

Your very right....however...I have a theory that these shots are more often set up by BMW themselves in order to create buzz around their new vehicles being tested. On another note...why test with wheels that wont even be availble in the North American market? whats the point?

the Bangle-butt 6 is still my favourite Bangle car after Z4. And it's sad to see a car with a very REAL presence on the road morph into this Camry coupe with Concept CS arse. I can't understand what's all the fuss is about. Cabin is nicer, but outside it looks massively boring. That M6 coupe sig of SlammedM6 above is a good example of what a cool car the previous 6 was. Just look at it, it's a real "fak off" car.

Am I the only one whose already tired of the terrible front bumpers BMW has been putting on all their new cars? It looks like a gaping mouth trying to eat the road. Makes the car look like a simpleton. Every car needs M-Sport standard purely to get rid of the stupid front bumper.

OMG,,,
Am I the only one who like the new 6 over the old one? The previous 6 is still a very good lookin car thou however, I kindda feel this one more. I really feel like almost every new BMWs that had been launched lately, often appear to look kindda weired or out of proportion on the photos, but in real life, they are real beautiful. I didn't really like F01 and F10 at first when i saw the picture that much, but after i saw it in personnn,,I'm in love! : ) |
