The BMW ZF 8HP "lifetime" automatic transmission vs ZF 100K km change specs (video)

The ZF8HP is a very common trans and most brands that use it specify periodic fluid changes. Shoukd not be hard to find a shop that will change fluid on one even if BMW and Porsche Audi claim never or 16 years for the change.

The only brand application specific different procedure I have read is some Porsche requiring a top off after the normal fill procedure where a tiny bit more is added through an oil cooler line.

On my 2013 F30 I had about 118K when I took it to an ind. shop to change the fluid. Shop refused to do it. For reasons noted by others.
I went to another shop and had them change fluid and filter/pan. it was about $1000. No issues before or after with shifting.
