That's what I thought, too, but he said it's only for the Comp xDrive. That's why I asked whether there's even going to be a G82 RWD manual for the 2027 model year.

So does BMW really discontinue the hatchback/gran coupe? AFAICT, the 8GC is dead, there will be no direct i4 successor (the upcoming i4 is a two door coupe) and I can't remember an upcoming 4GC either? I guess we are stuck with the 2GC or the X4/X6?

Simple math: there are only so many different models they can make, and through the next decade every platform will have both ICE and EVs. Once ICE starts dying off, they'll be able to bring niche products back.

Or they won't. China will eat them first.

What are the prospects BMW will make the B47 Euro7 complaint?

While it looks like they will keep the B57 around for the big cars, it seems much more uncertain on the smaller/lower margin ones.

Seemingly if the G50 gets a B47, they'll continue for a while in each of the current models, and if it doesn't, they'd die in 2027.

I can only see it in FWD cars. There's no diesel G50 yet, and notably 520d G60 LCI will get a (probably severely detuned) B57.

NA1 is launching exactly a year after NA0 in 07/27. We have so far not seen any prototypes of the touring, but i believe this will change this spring.
For ZA1 i think it will launch around 6 months after NA1 started production.

That all makes sense and aligns with what I thought. Just trying to get a sense of when in that timeline we might find out if it’s actually destined for the NA market or not.

That last sentence does not make sense to me. Did you mean "6 months after ZA0 (NA1?) started production"?

Nothing says "motorsport" like a panoramic glass roof.

Hard to tell. There sure as hell will be a Touring M3, after the success of the G81. But as far as i know, tourings are not very desired in the states.

I want an BMW i8 body with maybe the Schnitzer kit they did for the i8. The i8 was mostly carbon fiber. Include a 6 speed manual. Then maybe a 4 cylinder turbo or a an S55 I6 putting out 493 bhp.

Here is Schmee with an ACS 8 or AC Schnitzer i8. I don't like the reddish color.

I am not a fan. The only thing I liked was the trip to A C Schnitzer.

The information suggests iX3 M60 in 7/26 (July 2026). Does that mean orderable from that date, or start of delivery that date, or something else?

Those dates are usually Start of Production, so in between the two.

ynguldyn Does the NA1 news about no US models also apply to the ZA1 or is that still in play since we get the M5 Touring but no regular one?

I saw your update on the 1st page regarding engine update of G22/G23 in 2027. Then how about G42? It also "need to keep going for quite some time".

March? The new i3 hasn’t even been revealed yet! According to the info in the main message in this thread, i3 SOP is July, 2026.

Based on the 2027 leak for US models on shop.bmwusa.com, the following were the only 2 series coupe models listed:

M240i xDri
M240i Cp
M2 Cp
M2 xDrive

Aside form adding the M2 xDrive, are they dropping to 230 and 230 xDrive in the US?
