I always enjoy digging into the CSR rankings. Interesting to see Rivian ranked first in owner satisfaction and last in predicted reliability. They are #26 overall.
Nice to see BMW towards the top again. Last edited by Jd19; 12-05-2025 at 08:54 AM.. |

Yeah, Rivian owners seem to really love them despite the apparent problems – I guess they're doing something right. But really, when you're below Stellantis products you've got to do some serious self-reflection.

Well. It has always been the case that owner satisfaction isn’t tied to reliability. Hence how Rivian and Tesla rank so highly. It’s a shame to see VAG/Audi and Benz so low, but not surprising. I was eyeballing the new RS6 Avant and the reliability scared me away.

Obviously they didn’t poll all of you curmudgeons who incessantly complain about the new models. 🤣

WoW! That's quite a good look for Rivian amongst long standing older auto manufacturers!
I'm betting everyone at Rivian will be walking into the ballroom,...standing tall on 10,...with their Chest pumped up,...even the ladies!

Not a single Rivian owner have ever experienced Rod Knock, Bore Scouring, Transmission Fail,...Rear Diff leakage, busted Radiator,...Failed Turbo,...or Broken Driveshaft! I would suspect removing all of those components that could potentially have wear issues has allowed their customer base to hold their vehicles in high regards. ...ijs

BMW is by far the best daily car you can get under 100,000. From design to interior to performance, the BMW makes driving fun. Other manufacturers have good aspects as well but nothing will compare to a BMW for me. Until you spend a lot more you just can’t beat the value for the product you get in a BMW.

But I do understand and agree with your point that the lack of complexity you get in an ICE vehicle helps in that regard. |

It's nice to see BMW up there with lower volume brands that have a cult following (Subaru, Tesla, Rivian). They will always have an advantage in scoring over more mainstream brands.
Also BMW has kind of quietly made their cars pretty reliable starting about 10 or so years ago. They don't get outward credit for it because they get lumped in with other European brands. |
