true.... but I have often wondered where this grill thing started. Was there an actual BMW that came from the factory like that many years ago?

By the way, saw this today and thought it was also "fake" Is it okay if a company, not an individual driver, takes a BMW and turn it into something else and slap a semi-BMW badge on it?

That's the thing and the issue, it was NEVER a BMW "thing", ever. I am sure some cheese ball Italian with a wife beater on and a rope chain from Revere Mass started it.

I can say that, because I'm Italian I have had a hair across my ass about tri-colored grill stripes for 35 years. So take my position with a grain of salt. To each his own, but the people that rock these definitely aren't knowledgeable BMW enthusiasts. Roll into a BMW cars and coffee on a Sunday morning with these and everyone is laughing at you.

had a rush of blood the other day and bought 2 M-Sport 330d, one a 92 the other a 93.

Think the only M marking is on the steering wheel, door scuffs, and wheels. 2 of the 3 are small and some may say tastefully discrete.

However the son wants to put all crap I have seen in this thread from lights under and in the car, to M-sport shit all through the interior, then go carbon mirrors, spoiler or wherever he can put that BS. Some dick put a M3 bonnet on the 93, which is proving hard to find a replacement.

Been trying to educate him with he has all he needs, and the difference between wana be look at me try hard, and quietly impressive and capable. If anything spend his money on a LSD and tune.
