Catless downpipe question
Newbie here so bear with me - from what I hear, if I get catless downpipes then codes will get thrown and my check engine light will come on. Is that true? If so, what all needs to be done to clear those and do I need a tune at that point? I’m happy to get a tune (I hear good things about bootmod3) but I absolutely don’t want any pops or burbles. So if pops & burbles are inevitable then I’ll just scrap the whole idea. TIA

I’m pretty sure any of these piggyback tunes you can turn off burbles completely.

fwiw I have a 2017 comp with catless dp's still on the stock/oem tune. I have not gotten any CEL or cat related codes (which is surprising to me haha)

I see you're in UK, i too have Catless DP and I am in South Africa with no error codes, we have EU based DME software, so a bit more forgiving than the U.S based DME requirements in terms of environmental checks. so the EML will trigger with a finer deviation than our cars.
