How to turn on blind spot detection side view mirror stalks?

Got in the other day and they were off. Looked on the built in owners manual already. Help. Thanks

Design flaw, the brightness is controlled by the gauge cluster brightness. Clean the lights with a Mr. Clean Magic eraser. I cleaned the lane assist and the LED in the door handles. This turned the plastic clean and white again.

What did you use to search for the info? The Blind Spot option is turned off/on by the button/switch on the left side of the steering wheel below the headlight switch. There can be up to 5 buttons on that switch depending on how your car is optioned.

If you do a KEYWORD search using the iDrive owners manual...it should be found under DRIVING ASSISTANT or INTELLIGENT SAFETY. Perhaps someone bumped the switch while getting in/out of the vehicle and turned it off.

{since I don't have NIGHT VISION...the iDrive manual skips over it}

My f06 6 series...both had/have videos that explain the Blind Spot feature as well as written explanation:

Animated Explanations (embedded videos in iDrive owners manual):

...yep, the F06/f12/f13 doesn't have the single button that allows you to activate/deactivate the intelligent safety features like some other BMWs.

Single button Intelligent Safety Switch:
