What's your thought on the TSX Sport Wagon?
Already own a space grey '09 E91 AWD, but the Acura TSX Sport Wagon is really making me hesitate in buying my 2nd E91 or try something new in the TSX Wagon. The TSX wagon will be somewhat a little more expensive, but not more than $2-3k for similar mileage. However, longterm repairs/maintenance, and the fact that these E91/TSX wagon will be given to my sons in a few more years when they reach driving age (3-6 years).
Is the driving dynamics that much off from a RWD E91 with auto? thanks so much |

I have driven several Acuras and Hondas, even owned an Accord for a bit. I drove a TSX a while back, but not the wagon. They all drive like Hondas, which is a good thing. Just different than a BMW. I think you have to drive one yourself to decide.
So, I "strayed" (my wife's word) last year and bought an S5 with V8 and MT. I thought it would be a good car for Ohio, to contrast our mostly-BMW fleet. I sold it nine months later, replacing it with another e92 MT. I don't think anyone would have been able to explain to me what I had to experience myself. |

Probably because rwd driving dynamics are more fun. There’s a difference between being pushed around a corner than pulled around.

TSX Wagon is a solid reliability play and a good match for early drivers. Paired to an anemic engine and certainly it is no E91 in terms of engagement or potential thrills. Plenty of them left on the road which speaks to it's longevity.

As a former Honda owner I will point out they are more prone to rust than a BMW. I've had a brake line completely fail and the rear quarters of my Honda's all suffered rust issues. Ppl fail to mention that important point when it comes to reliability

I think the way Japanese engineers there cars are so different than German cars. The reliability issues and level of ease/difficulty with regular service items are also main concerns for these decisions.
However, even though everytime I drive my E91 I have a feeling of "please don't have weird noises, smoke, or shakes", its smoothness, handling, and steering always pulls me back to the brand. I spent 3 years between my e90 335xi and the 328xi e91 with a '19 CRV, and I hated every minute in that thing. My DIL's '17 CIVIC was so much better and engaging, and even my '14 Odyssey is better to drive! Thank you for all help! |

Similar vibes with my 135K mile E91. Such a great daily and ridiculously stable in poor weather situations. On a regular basis I debate between taking it to its grave (and the heavy maintenance years to come) or pulling the plug in favor of a Civic Si or similar MT sedan - less a newcomer wagon appear
