Hurricane Sandy VS Convertible M6 :(
Well most of you have heard about how Hurricane Sandy has wrecked havoc on most of the Tri State Area. As In finally took my 135i to get gas, get a car wash ( I know there is another storm coming tomorrow, but I couldn't help myself) I was going for little drive, when I came along a BMW. I quickly made a u-turn got out my car and saw it was an M6 . Now this car was parked in Hoboken, NJ in a very well known flood area, Even if it rains for a couple of hours it floods there so I can just imagine what it was like when Hurricane Sandy came. Here are some pictures I took with my Galaxy S3. I didn't have my camera with me

That's awful. Looking back at other storm photos, why is it that one or two windows are opened?

I don't think they really wanted to keep it. Looks like one of the launch verts with the full silverstone leather. May it R.I.P

I think that is the only way people can get into cars when it has flood damage as bad as the pictures. I have seen that all around the surrounding area, cars with 1 or 2 windows broken into.. All this flood water wasn't regular rain water, most of the flood water was salt water ( So my girlfriend says ).
Yup those are Florida plates which surprised me when I saw the car. |

Nope, I have seen it around a few times. Especially since it has a Florida license plate. Seems like they have been back to because of the hand prints on the trunk.

I was doing some inspection work in Hoboken today and saw this car. It was in a line of cars that had similar damage.
It looks like it was parked in a underground garage that was likely flooded like most of Hoboken.

Thats very weird to see the car on the street like that. From the photo you can't see any broken glass indicating that the windows were broken. I can't seem to make out the plate numbers, although it does look like a Florida tag. I have a picture of my neighbors car in a thread I posted a while back. I haven't seen him or the car in a few weeks in my condo building. I wonder if thats his car. OP do you have a better picture of the plate?
