Good review but they aren't the same type cars. One is a 4-seat GT and the other one is a 2-seat Roadster.

Obvious results.
Nice review, I was expecting the results to be like that. I still feel like he M6 convertible's direct competitor would be the E63 Convertible if it was available.

you are right, if the M6 was a seat roadster with that engine and all the awesome ///M engineering it has... it would be the winner for sure!

The M6 did incredibly well considering it can seat 4, weighs more, and has a much longer wheelbase. The Sl only seats two, has 200Nm more torque, and was equipped with carbon ceramic brakes.

LOL! this is not even 650 vert numbers....
m5 does 0 - 60 in 3.6 so m6 should be a hairline quicker or at least the same, so vert is under 4s, prob in 3.9 range

1. Incredible how he can speak so much while driving so intensively.
2. Tone of his voice is so calm (and no fun) when driving the Merc. (Maybe because it was driven after the BMW so he got used to the torque.) 3. Both cars are just so beautiful gorgeous. |

Reminds me a lot of Tiff with how he instantly verbalized every bit of the driving experience.

The guy said 556 bhp for the Merc, not 537.So - more power, less weight. Not spanked at all if you ask me Put that engine into a z4 and see the results

SL AMG and M6 aren't even comparable cars haha
M6 should be compared to E class AMG And SL AMG should be comparable to non-existent Z8M (Are you reading this BMW? Haha) Bmw needs Z8 and a true super car like M10 which I'm hoping to see after i8 in by the end of 2010's |

So let me get this straight. The BMW makes almost equal horsepower with a litre less of engine displacement. It has a better transmission and costs 30 000+$ less. It weighs more, lacks ceramic brakes and has 2 extra seats, which resulted in the BMW losing the comparison for lapping the track a second slower. Something seems off...
