BIMMERPOST NEWS
Alpina B6 Gran Coupe Undergoes Testing

COMMENTS

Alpina trotted out its upcoming B6 Gran Coupe for some Spring time testing and we've caught it fitted with Alpina front lip, trunk wing, wheels and exhaust system. The aero parts remain unpainted and no Alpina rear diffuser/bumper has yet been installed.

For an idea of what the specs may be for the B6 Gran Coupe, the 2013 Alpina B6 Coupe features 540hp / 730nm (538 lb-ft) torque, with a top speed of 334 km/h - based on BMW 4.4L V8 motor. How do those specs stack up against the M6 in the performance department? Check out the Sport Auto comparo results below.

Based on the comparison you won't gain much performance, I rather go with the M6 since both cars are very close in term of pricing.

I think the front lip looks out of place, don't love the spoiler, but other than that, what a beauty. Much muchh sleeker than the b7

Looks nice, will see how it looks in production form. I wish Alpina expands on to cover lower range models. As for people comparing times between B6 and M6, they're different beasts with different purposes.

This car is fantastic. I love the six-series stock but this takes it to a new level. I love the body kit, it isn't a fast and the furious, but a nice notable but tasteful mod. Car looks great, I will be a costumer!

I like the spoiler, reminds me of the XK-RS, goes better with a sportier color than grey

That side profile of even the base Gran Coupe is fucking gorgeous. Put an M6 trunk spoiler on the Alpina and I'd be all over it.

Alpina should work their magic on the V12 TT, slot it in this and boom.. greatest car ever made.

Very interesting, B6 is almost 1 sec faster than the already monster M6 in mid range 80-120/140/160 km/h flexibility 4th/5th gear acceleration. Over boost function? Different gearing?

Dislike the front bumper. Not much to say about the rear spoiler.

Overall, I'd take M6 over this any day.

Well 0-60 is slower , 1/4 as well by quite a bit.
Most people compare these 2!
I don't like the B6 at all
Would rather take B7 or M6
Rear spoiler is inappropriate and front end looks terrible .
Whatever
Marketing wins all the time....
Alpina wins often!
