2012 Geneva: BMW M6 Coupe (F13) World Premiere

The all new 2012 BMW M6 coupe (official info thread) is the star of the BMW display at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow, based on our affinity for the car and how swarmed the car was. It's no wonder given the M6's hard-to-miss Sakhir Orange color, sculpted carbon fiber roof, and very aggressive bodywork.

And the F13 M6 coupe has got the performance to match its looks. Its 560hp/502 lb-ft torque propels it from 0-62mph in only 4.2 seconds (compared to M6 convertible's 4.3 sec and M5's 4.4 sec). The model on display also features the optional M carbon ceramic brakes which reduce fade and reduce weight by 19.4 kg (42.8 lb) over the standard brakes.

We've now added photos of the F13 M6 underbody, which shows the functional underbody/rear diffuser.

Mmm sexy.

My heart is telling me that I like the M5 more than the M6 but my eyes see it in a different way. This M6 (aesthetically) is the perfect combination of aggressiveness and refinement. I want to see one in person, asap....oh and the M5 too :P

Ha! Michelin Super Sports as OEM tires.

It really is a stunning car. The detail around the vents and diffuser on the front and rear bumpers is really great.

I can't wait for the F82...

hmmm, now make the M4 (M3 coupe) look like a mini version of this and offer orange, I might just have to convince myself not to get the sedan! Where is the orange stitching though, would make it look much better

Too bad this will cost $120K, can't see spending an extra $20K (over the M5) just for the "looks" of the car when it has the same engine, and basically all parts as the M5 and should drive the same. I see the CLS AMG stealing a lot of sales from the M6 because of price point even though the M6 looks better.
