BMW 6-series Gran Coupe M-Sport Spied

The upcoming 6-series Gran Coupe has now been spotted out in M-sport form. The elegant four-door coupe will share the same M-sport kit as the 6-series coupe (recently spotted) and the convertible - with more aggressive front bumper, sideskirts, and rear bumper/diffuser.

Current expectation is for the Gran Coupe to hit showrooms in 2012 as a 2013 Model Year vehicle. Engine range is expected to be identical to the 6-Series Coupe.

This car really confuses me. What is the difference between this and 5 series and 7 series? And how can you have a coupe with 4 doors?

I still don't understand why people are so confused about this car... Have u guys been living under a cave or have u never seen what a CLS is???? This car is a direct competitor to the CLS it's not rocket science.. Nothing confusing about it.

It’s not meant to be taken literally. The 6 series was designed as a coupe, and this has the 6 series design….so it has coupe like styling. It differs from the 5 series in that it is lower and wider, and has the sportier design which will appeal to certain people more than the 5 series. It’s the same deal with the CLS, an A7. There is obviously a market for these cars.

I really don't understand why so many people find this car confusing/uneccessary/etc. NO ONE's making you buy one.
This car will certainly find its buyer. It will for example appeal to those who would buy the 6 series for its design and performance, but at the same time are afraid that 2 doors aint enough for them.

It doesn't look as aggressive as the concept. It should look more aggressive., like the concept., I have seen the new CLS., my god looks amazing., If BMW wants to create a CLS competitor, it should make not make a 6-series with 4 doors and so plain. I saw an A7 at an Audi dealerships., it looks damn ugly btw

my eyes keep going on that misplaced hoodline. god i hate it on all new models.. its like seeing somebody crosseyed and you try not to stare but you cant..

come to thing of it its like misplaced nipples (havent seen any) but imagine the nipples were on the upper side of the breasts, below the shoulders, how fucked up would that look. that is how that hood line is.. it should connect the lights with the grills like the current 3 series.. it would make it a lot more aggresive as well..

Thanks for the replies, it was an honest question. I could do better without the attitude. I know it will sell, whatever BMW does, sells like bread and butter (which doesn't mean they are good cars). I forgot about CLS and A7. My main confusion is (was) why not call it 5 or 7 series, but than I guess BMW is now filling all the possible numbers between 1 and 7, so kinda "makes sense".

I think the A7 looks amazing. The CLS is eh in my opinion.
