IND | Comfortably Cool - San Marino Blue F06 M6
![]() Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The first time I experienced an F06 M6 Gran Coupe I was rendered speechless. It was the F10 M5 more elegantly packaged. A sleek conceptual rendering come to life. I was in love with an M car again. When our client first contacted us, he had yet to order the vehicle itself. The M6 GC would be his first BMW, ever. We agreed that any modifications done must not interrupt but tastefully enhance the M6 GC’s long, elegant lines without camouflaging its inherent nature. The M6 was delivered to IND straight from Elmhurst BMW, and after several months of anxiously waiting for both the car to arrive from Germany and to finish at IND, we had the pleasure of releasing the finished product to our client - just in time for spring. Please enjoy. 2015 San Marino Blue / Sakhir Orange M6 GC - Modifications include: - Vorsteiner front lip - Carbon front and side grilles - IND door handles - 3D Design trunk spoiler and rear diffuser - GruppeM intake - BMW M Performance steering wheel - KW height adjustable springs - Custom painted brake calipers in Lamborghini Arancio Borealis - Eisenmann Race exhaust with 4x102mm tips |

Tastefully modded - looks better than stock.
I have the same colour and although the car looks great as is - it looks like at a minimum it needs a rear boot spoiler. |

The door handles were originally a service we offered our F10 M5 clients, and decided it would be a nice touch to add while the vehicle was here. It's a subtle change - we had the chrome strips on the door handles painted in San Marino. Most visible in this photo: ![]() It does indeed! 5mm front and rear. |

Have you considering painting these rims black or it will ruin the design ? I can't make up my mind on it. How do you like the springs with stock struts ? A lot of people don't like that setup with H&R and actually report worse handling, and ride quality. Thanks !

Without naming any lowering spring manufacturers by name, I would agree that many of them do not effectively match the spring rate, spring total length, coil count, and other attributes to the original BMW damper. We chose a KW sleeve-over kit because KW pays particular attention to these aspects of component design, and is able to test and validate their components on their in-house 7 post shaker rig. KW's sleeve-over or HAS kit is far better matched to the original BMW damper than standard lowering springs, and provides a better ride and handling as a result. |

Great work. Those calipers almost look like they came off of an AMG car
