Well actually the new S class coupe looks similar to current 6er!
BTW, I'm wondering what a monster is this car with about 3700 lb weight and 650 HP!!! I don't like AWD at all, but I believe the AWD of this monster easily catches 0-60mph in sub 3 second!

The side windows in the concept are way too small. Hopefully they will be much taller than that.

I love the idea of the process that goes into one of these cars.
I also love that like an architects rendering of a future building (or rehab of an old building) all the aspects of the drawing that shape the way it is received by the viewer, such as the reflectiom, the driver... much like a render of a bulding that has trees that aren't there, walkers by in an area that isn't populated ect. I never have liked the 6er, until the GC, ( I typically like BMWs with 4 doors better than 2 doors, except the 2002, original 1er and the current m235i) but I have high hopes for this one.

So next-gen 6-series Gran Coupe becomes the 8-series. Does this mean the end of the Gran Coupe naming experiment, Scott?

Go drive a X5M/X6M with the traction fully off and you might see the beauty in it.

BTW, AWD is good for SUVs and there is no doubt, but for M6??? No thanks

If this were to happen... Wow!
Best part is the reduction of weight. My wish list would be to seriously work on the traction of the RWD model. AWD is the easy way but lacks the BMW quality to the experience in this type of car. |

Looks like unlike I've ever seen before. Except for the 2015 Mustang, that is.

I don't see how this is going to work out. The 6GC competes with the CLS, A7 and the Panamera to some extent. If the next 6GC is rebadged as an 8 series it would have to compete exclusively with the Panamera and S-class coupe and abandon its current market, or risk being priced below the 7 series which imo is absurd.
