The GOOD (Germany)
BMW Welt Delivery Monday September 17, 2012, Awesome Car M6 Convertible Sakhir Orange first out on the German Streets, Awesome roads, Courteous people, Castles, Beer, Speed limit, Autobahn, Nurburgring, Oktoberfest, BMW Museum, BMW Factory Tour, Shopping, New Professional Nav system, Car lovers taking pictures every where we went, Saw some very neat cars at the Ring, Rented a Race Car (Suzuki Swift) for the Ring, Hanging out with Ferrari, Porsche, Nissan GTR, and many more drivers at the Hotel but we had the only M6 vert there and that drew an audience, Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Love the Driver’s Assistance Package, Butt massage and Executive Package.
What was also amazing is that we were able to fit 7 pieces of luggage in the trunk.

The BAD
Arriving home and learning from Bimmerpost listing that our chassis number is on the recalled list for the oil pump issue.
Drove 1030 miles in Germany and thank God we didn’t have a problem. What a Bummer after a great trip!!!
Car is still in Germany 2 weeks now awaiting parts for the recall. Still no communication from BMW.

A wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing it with us. I had to forego my ED. I did receive my Black Saphire/Silverstone full merino 2013 M6 stateside. Had to deal with oil pump recall but one of the lucky ones timewise. I enjoyed your pictures. I lived vicariously through your trip! Next time I will not let anything stand in the way of my ED.

Update on the ED. Car is on the water and will arrive in Brunswick, GA around October 29. The oil pump will be replaced in GA before shipping to the dealer. Should have it (hopefully) by November 7.

Comparing your screen shot to that of a new 550i, I don't think you have the new Nav either... Mine just went into production, so I can only keep my fingers crossed for Oct production. But i have a feeling if the 6 series doesn't get it till the spring, then why would the M6..... same car.
