I'm sorry but why would a $100,000 car NOT have a sunroof? Sure the carbon fiber is nice but a sunroof is a slightly more important option in my opinion.

MP4-12C R8 DB9 One77..... and more I guess this is the way although I have to agree, a sunroof option,(like the E92 M3) would be nice. |

Does anyone have ANY credible information regarding: (1) when US dealers can begin taking and submitting formal orders for M6 Coupes; (2) when BMW will begin building M6 Coupes; and (3) when BMW will begin delivering M6 coupes to US customers?
I am first on the list of a large US dealer who will surely receive among the first allocations of M6 Coupes. I have submitted my specs to the dealer. They are now waiting for their allocation(s) (beyond the initial Sakhir Orange demo car). Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

I assume my dealer cannot formally submit my order until it receives its M6 allocation(s), correct? Is there anyway I can find out precisely when M6 Coupe allocations are handed out, so I can pounce on my dealer armed with the info? |

I can't believe that the only thing people comment is the M6 badge on the grille...

Agreed. They wouldn't need the active sound nonsense if they just made it a lot louder, to me one of the most important things you're paying extra for when you step up to the M model is that glorious sound that they have always had. This new M6 sounds great, it just needs to be much louder.
I'm of the opinion that full throttle in any car, let alone an M car, should be an event. If I'm in a tunnel and put my foot down, I expect it to shatter people's heads not just make a nice, polite sound. Semi related, but if they want to keep the stock car quiet then at least the M Performance exhaust should be A: much louder, the one for the M3 sounds almost identical to stock and B: should be like $1-2,000 and be a factory installed option like it is on all Porsches. |

My dealer has the showroom car and 2 allocations. The build weeks are 27 and 31. I have the deposit on 31 which I think is in early August sometime or late July. They do not have the build numbers yet. My sales man thinks I will get mine delivered in September but I don't expect to see it until October.

Hi guys
I just bought a new BMW M6 Cabrio (F12) and have a few comments... First, as a bit of fun, I'd like to bow our heads in prayer... Our Heavenly M Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy V8 twin turbo kingdom come, thy 560 BHP enabled top speed will be done, on earth as it is meant to be in heaven. Give us this day our daily 7200 RPMs, and forgive us our wheel spins, as we forgive those who have wheel spun beside us, And lead us not into temptation as we sit at the traffic lights, but deliver us from the California highway patrol, for thy is the power, the glory and the thrill. Ahmen!!!! With that said, I have to say I really like the new M6 Cabrio - although comparing it to my old V10 M6 cabrio, the new one doesn't have the same "grin" factor as the old one does. I think the new one doesn't handle as well as the old one, but it is very close I think - and with the turbos coming out of the corners is better but no more howling engine note, so is it really better? The new one is definitely faster in a straight line, but not much. I have to say that the new one is a much much nicer/better car overall... Everything is as it should be, whereas the old one, aside from the engine and gearbox, was riddled with teething problems in my opinion... The thing is, I need this new one to be much faster... Can anyone tell me about a tuning chip for the new M6 F12 please? I don't mean point me to a website, I mean someone who has actually tried a tuning chip for their own F12 M6 and got great results - I want the old "V10 grin factor" back you see. appreciate it |

I had mine for about 2 weeks now and I can not get to the magic 1200 mile number fast enough. I have not stopped smiling since I bought it.
I get so many looks in this car, it sure attracts more attention than any other car I have owned. I have had many nice cars but when I get random non car people to say comments at the gas station I know its something special. I will say that the exhaust note is a bit disappointing at the lower revs, (I have not been over 4500rpm) so who knows what the higher revs will do. I believe from the posts that I have read the car is detuned and will respond well to tuning. |
