Only 0.40 seconds behind the M3 GTS around the test track.

Seriously. What happened to 550HP? Or is this in a different measurement (SAE/DIN/KW)??

I'm calling typo on the HP number.

Impressive time for the M6. If the M6 is right behind the GTS I cant wait to see what they do with the M3

There are multiple threads out there about the M5/M6 being underrated by the factory stock.

http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740823

But with 632hp, it sounds like someone might have slapped a tune on it .

Uhhhhh. Yeah it would. Thats why it has an I6. And if you still don't believe me go to youtube and search M3 CSL. Which is possibly one of the best sounding cars ever made.

It's true that the M5/M6 is horribly underrated as with all other BMWs.
There are high and low numbers.
But I think the general number is at 600 hp exact.

Yes, and it does so on many other tracks (e.g. Hockenheim is another). It's a function of the configuration of the track. Generally the 1///M does better than the M3 (even DCT Comp cars) on tracks with shorter straights, greater elevation changes and sharper corners. It's really tracks where TQ > HP.

New turbo Ms have impressive numbers: the new M6 is very close to a track dedicated M3 (GTS), the new M5 is faster than the track dedicated M3 Sedan (CRT) and 1M is faster than M3 DCT Comp!
The future M4 has to be a beast too

So it's barely faster than the previous generation and a crap load more money. Buy a m3 or a corvette and strap a blower on.
