Teaser from Holland

Teaser for all outside Holland and France!

Charging @ Tesla for my first time. In Holland and France some Tesla Superchargers are opened for non-Tesla cars. Apart from the very short cable it was a revelation! The charging followed the curve almost exactly. And with 0,7€/kWh (and no connection fee!) it isn’t too bad. Ionity is more expensive and not always at max capacity.

Let’s hope Tesla considers the test a succes and more stations will open up soon.

All Tesla chargers in The Netherlands are available now for non Tesla owners as long as they are citizens of the NL.

Apparently Dutch citizens can charge in France as well.
Below picture taken at Tesla supercharger station in south Paris.

Charging here again smooth and fast. I am not a fan of E. Musk, but am starting to reconsider this position. Looking at the troubles I come across at other chargers Tesla has his act nicely together (it seems)

I think you have to push it REALLY hard to get it in, and then use a screwdriver to prise it out after charging!!! Otherwise, it is spot on.

They all are fitted with CCS plugs, so they work fine.

It is worthwhile to understand the Tesla usage policy: you have a 5 min grace period after reaching your charge goal to disconnect your car otherwise you pay 1€ per minute “parking fee”. Thanks to the MyBMW app you can keep track of the charging to prevent unnecessary costs.

Assuming the app is working. Mine is not at the moment, so I had no idea of the state of charge while I ate my pizza this evening.
