Why didn't they bring the ix3 to the US

Is importing not an option? Will most likely not be the most optimal solution financially but it gets you one.

I guess it's due to the high tariff importing cars from China making this uncompetitive.

Both the iX3 and the X3 xDrive30e are available in Canada.

I read about tariffs (being made in China vs X3's), and also saw news not being competitive enough (for example vs. Model Y - range & AWD).
