Boot liner
My new ix3 should be here February, any info or advice on what boot liner to buy please, I would be happy to buy either oem or decent quality aftermarket depending on advice.

Went for this one: https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/BMW-BO...7-ONWARDS.html
Quality is on par with the OEM ones (which we have had in several previous cars). |

It adds to the contortion of getting into it, but they do bend and you can get in on the occasions you need for the cable. To be fair my type 2 is in a bag in the corner of the actual boot, the granny is under the floor along with the dog net/cover thing. Couple of other little bits and bobs in there that aren't needed every day.
Still looking forward to the frunk adapter, see if its any good |

Got a boot liner to protect from the dog (and children): https://www.bootliners-uk.com/bl/bmw/x3/1555
You do have to remove the storage net on the left of the luggage compartment, but that took me about 10mins with a screwdriver and pair of pliers ( and can be put back if needed). If you do order one note that the boot shape is the same as that for the standard X3 - it is only the plug in hybrid x3 that has a raised boot floor. With some but not all of the optional extras its quite pricey, but worth it for my needs. I’d also note that it would need to be modified slightly to allow figment of the dog net supplied with the car - when fitted with the seats up the figment anchors for the dog net are half way down the seat back, which is covered by the liner (not the attachment points on the boot floor - took some a while to work that out as they look like you can use them, but the strops are not quite long enough) |
