Tech enhancement 0066540100 - What does it do?

Re-posted from iX3 lead time thread:
Just to say that I took delivery of the Premier Pro version off the dealer floor on 17th.Dec.
Only done 120 miles so far and loved every one of them.
However using the link to VIN number search in this forum, I find "Tech enhancement 0066540100" is required for my car. Booked in for this next week with a slightly embarrassed dealer. Hopefully this might improve the GOM 175 range predictor but can anyone tell me what it is actually going to do please?

General consensus is that it is a software update related to the radar sensitivity….

I have no idea why the iX3’s GOM is so poor compared to the i3. It is almost as if they have re-invented the wheel and missed out a few spokes.

I have just checked the VIN and it appears my iX3 also has been recalled. Not sure for the reason.

It is of note that there is no mention of this requirement in the BMW App. Previous tech enhancements have been bannered in the App.

Just got the car back having had the "Tech enhancement 0066540100" at Kirkcaldy. Service agent from screen said it was an up date to control software for long range radar.

It's to do with the sensors for the radar and camera's, apparently some of them aren't upto snuff, mine booked for the 4th.
