"+1" Tires Sizes

I am about to buy some Cup 2 tires. I'm on the OEM 20-in wheels. Other than stock sizes, what are the sizes some of you have fit on the car with no rubbing?

I'm also on the stock suspension.

If you could show a picture of your size, I'll appreciate it.

275/35r20 and 305/30r20 is about as big as you can run on the stock wheels. However I'm running wider wheels and have no issues with fitment on 325/30r20 tyres and 18mm offset wheels which is 1mm further out than stock. So no issues at all with running 305/30r20 on stock wheels

Here is a pic of 305s on stock 20” wheels and stock suspension if this helps. The tyre is MP4S, so Cup 2 sidewall may look slightly different.

I thought the rear wheel was 20x11”... But whatever the stock 433 rear is, that’s the one. Front wheels are standard 265/35x20, I think on 20x10” - or is the stock rim width 9.5”?

Nice set up. I have been looking at going 315 in the rear on the 343. I think the weel could handle with width. Not so sure about the ride height on H&Rs though.

I think the max you could go with on a 343 (rear) is 295 (305 in case of a narrow sidewalls). 433 is 10.5 & 343 is 10.

That is wrong, BMW USA kept on copying and pasting the wrong info for years.

All F10 M5 wheels are 9" 32mm, 10" 34mm.

All F06/12/13 wheels are 9.5" 31mm, 10.5" 19mm

@Flying Ace, you know that you will have no grip with the cup 2 when the road is wet. I would go with the sport 2s as they have almost the same grip when dry but much more when wet. The cup tires are designed for the track with road usage. The sport 2 s are designed for the road with track usage.

Ha, have you noticed he lives in SF, California - that’s like Melbourne: no need to worry about rain 😅

Except that when we do get rain in California we get a deluge, and loads of surface water sitting on roads that weren't designed to clear it. Plus it lifts all the oils out of the surface that have been building up over the dry periods.

It doesn't happen often, but it's kinds like driving on ice when we do get rain!

BS, when I met you it was 30C or something but a few days (earlier or later I can't remember) it was 45C.

But in about 2008 or so when I was in Melbourne over xmas/new years it was 45C one day, then 5C the next day with massive sheets of rain coming down everywhere. I've also seen snow around Dandenong when it was 35C a few days earlier!

In saying that, in Auckland I've been running Sport Cup 2 from the end of November to now. But when I went to National Park a month ago and it was 5C in the morning it was super sketchy! In 3rd gear I was massively sideways at about 50kmh
