Hiding EZ Pass

Hey guys, I just got a new (to me) M6 convertible. With the windshield being on the small side as is, I hate to take up real estate with an EZ Pass. Does anyone have any suggestions / tips on what to do with that bulky thing other than mount it under the rearview? Can it be hidden in the bumper or anything?

Congrats on the M.

Probably not want you’re looking for but I personally just hold mine up to the windshield when it’s time to go under. Other than that, it stays in the center console.

I'd love to gut one and see if it would fit under the roundel on the hood.

Thank you, and yep, that's what I've been doing so far. I know I'm going to forget one of these times though.

Looking for a good solution too. I've mounted mine as close to the roof as I can. Considering @[TinCanSailor] suggested. Or at least painting it black to to make less visible.

I use the CA fastrak, same shit. For fastrak they offer a slim version. For me I just keep it on the door pocket, and grab it every time.

They also offer you a windshield sticker barcode too.

Bay area recently made it even easier, whereby they got rid of the official concept of the transponder. They just simply bill you based on your license plate scan, and if you have a fastrak account, the system detect your plate as registered to an account and deducted from your purse. Else they just send you a bill directly to the owner's address.

the front fenders (I think)are made of thermo plastic (as is the trunk lid) which is probably RF transparent. You could try and remove the fender well liner and glue the easy tag to the upper side of the fender The coms antennas are in the trunk lid on the M6GC. Worse case they will read youre front license plate (if there is such a thing) and correlate it to your account.
Just a wild thought.
