Cracked windshield

Very sad news.
Cracked the windshield yesterday. I guess by a rock hitting the edge?
Got an appointment to get it replaced Tuesday.
Iíve heard horror stories of having the windshield replaced will cause wind buffering and leaks.
Does anybody have any tips on what to look out for when getting it replaced?

I had an M6 following me once on a country drive and I flicked up a stone and cracked his windscreen...it took 3 replacements to get it right due to the first ones being supplied not supporting the HUD so the display for it was all blurry.

I had windshield replaced on a F13 previously, no issues with increasing wind noise. Just make sure they use quality part and installed by someone who knows what they are doing - mine was replaced by local dealer. Remember HUD!

I use this company here in my town
SunTec Auto Glass Replacement Tucson
Max Auto Glass
I've replaced my Barracuda glass from Suntec for about $450.
