iDrive issue

Hi all, my iDrive selector is not working fully. The push down, left/right & forward/backward selection is fine but the turn dial to select different functions is not responding.

Anyone experienced this and/or got a remedy?

TIA

Your controller has likely failed. They are not really meant to be taken apart. Assuming they sell it over there, you can get a spray can of CRC Electronic Cleaner, remove the controller and just flood the heck out of it and spin the knob while it dries. It won't hurt anything. Likely you will need to buy a new one - or a used one on eBay.

I have an iDrive touch controller for sale if you are interested. Works perfectly fine.
