Its not really just confidence, its comfort with being "alone." you have to be perfectly fine with "just" friends and family in your life and no relationship, then you are in the right place to only accept someone who enhances your life.

Ive seen too many people treat relationships like a drug, where they need it. They either can only leave one relationship if they have another lined up (cheating/branch swinging) or the moment one ends for any reason they are immediately on the hunt for another (and they always end up settling).

And its also a good red flag to notice from the other side too, if someone needs you its going to be trouble. If they want you then youre better off.

Asking me out for a later day, at least a week or two out is fine, prefer two weeks or so due to my schedule but I'm not going to connect with someone and then walk out the door to meet them that same night. See I personally never understood that... there are sociopaths out there that can trick you and get you to trust them w anything weeks later after talking / comforting you.

I feel like talking too long wastes time and keeps everyone disinterested after a while.

If someone wants to do something to you and bury your body... they probably could do it in 3 weeks just as well as tomorrow. lol
