Difference between Merino Leather and Nappa Leather

What is the difference between these two besides one is only for Individual cars and the other isn't.

I've been wondering about this as well. I thought Nappa was the best, but then you have Merino on Individual and Novillo on some of the ///M cars. Maybe it's just a texture/grain difference? You'd think BMW could explain the difference between the leathers on the site...
