Washer Fluid or Water?

What do y’all fill your washer fluid reservoir with?

I've always used the cheap blue stuff from the auto parts store. I have no idea what cleaning properties it is supposed to have, but use it because it doesn't freeze in winter - not an issue for you.

Ditto...since I live in 4 season country...I use windshield washer fluid. If I lived where the temps never or rarely ever got close to 32° F...I might be tempted to dilute my windshield washer fluid with water to make it go further.

Washer fluid not only contains ingredients to prevent it from freezing...it also contains detergents that help clean off bird poop and bug spatter better than just plain water.

Thank you gentlemen! I looked up the BMW washer fluid and it’s only $5.70 for a gallon Although the website says it can’t be sold to CA! I’ll stop by the dealer today and see what’s up. If nothing else, I’ll just go to An auto parts store. My concern is minimal. I hardly ever use the washers.

You can add a dash of alcohol to the tank but don’t do white vinegar as some suggest.
