M6 vibration

Hi there,

I wonder if there is anyone who can help solve an irritating problem I have with my M6.

Once cruising in 7th gear - 70/80 mph about 2000 revs - I accelerate and as the revs hit 3000rpm a vibration can be felt through the chassis. Even if I drop a gear to 6th or 5th and accelerate the same vibration can be felt.

The car has been into the dealership and had the prop shaft removed and refitted in case it was out of balance but this hasn't fixed the problem.

They and I are completely baffled as they report they, nor BMW, have any experience of this.

Has anyone any similar experience as if so did you locate the problem?

Hope someone can help,

Thanks,

Richard
