I doubt anyone here was trying to find humor in anyone's disability.

Just that when you spend enough time in any high population metropolis, you see and hear people and or stories of individuals that prey on the kindness of strangers all the time by faking disabilities, causing many of us to become desensitized to it.

well if we examine the picture, the guy needs a walking stick so he probably cant see anything few inches away but he can see the phone few inches away??

The white stick is an indicator that he has a vision impairment but it doesn't necessarily mean that he's completely blind.

That's one possibility. There are many different causes. This issue just pushes my buttons, sorry. My wife has something abbreviated as RP, you first loose your peripheral vision and it slowly narrows util it's gone. It can happen fast or take years/decades. So there can be a lot of time where you are a hazard to everyone around you but you can still read books/computers etc.

completely understandable why its a sensitive matter to you.
i have problems with my right eye and already have been under knife twice. Im schedule for another surgery next month.
