Has the M6 been CONFIRMED to have a manual option for the US yet?

Can't believe that LED headlights are only included on that pricy $4,900 Executive Package... Oh well, people who can buy this car would not care about this 5k anyway

Because the M6 convertible is coming as a 2012 model, before the coupe. The coupe is a 2013 model and is on the same schedule as the M5 for North America

No, 6MT will most likely be M5 only. Carbon Brakes will maybe show up in 2013 on the Vert, maybe available at launch of M5/M6 Coupe. And the M6 Vert is hitting the states just in time for Summer=Sales.

Seems right. Carbon brakes will be a new option on the 2013 M5 so makes sense that the 2013 M6 convertible and coupe will probably get it too. But 2013 models don't come until July production.

I really love this car, in San Marino Blue, with Opal white interior.. but no Piano Black trim? what gives? And they should have just made it loaded, $10000 on top of 113,000 is only 10%

Really? So it won't be added for MY2013 in July then?

I would be somewhat surprised by that since all RWD 5 series and 6 series models offer a 6MT in the US, as will the M5, and presumably the M6 coupe too. I am skeptical that only the M6 convertible will be left out, but I suppose it is possible.

No Sakhir Orange yet, I notice, but I'll bet that will be an MY2013 addition, just as it has been confirmed to be for the M5.

I think there are some trims missing from the configurator too, since I cannot imagine that only wood will be offered. They should at least have carbon fiber, as seen in the BMW AG brochure.

true, not that expensive to fully load it (for those who can afford the base price, i.e. not me)

dissapointed no MT, that would be M5 justification right there

I don't understand how this car is worth it when it's treading on Maserati/Aston Martin pricing.

it isnt worth it for sure, especially when we accept that the engine is not purpose built. The car is nice, but not special.

What doesn't make sense is that they will offer the 6MT on a 4 door ///M (M5) sedan but not their flagship ///M, 2 door sport GT car???!!!!
I agree about the engine too. It's not purpose built for this car and offers the same hp #'s as the one fitted to the M5.. Atleast give it a little more HP..
Whomever at BMW that came up with the no 6MT option for the M6 but offer a 6MT for the M5 should be seriously smacked
Dumb move BMW

Man, it was either the M6 or the new SL63 for me. The pricing being so high on the M6 makes me sway more toward the new bodied SL.

What's keeping me from pulling the trigger on the Mercedes is it's shitty NAV system.

Yes, Benz Nav blows- expect that to change with the new S class.......

Albeit it won't make it into the SL for at least the first year....

The 6-speed M6 is coming next year, I confirmed with a representative last week. However, I did not ask if he was talking about next MY or next calendar year. Also, I don't recall if the vert is getting the 6-speed too.

Who buys a 1M when you could have a Cayman?
