Keep getting this message. Tried reinserting the usb but nothing. Any thoughts appreciated. Tried a few different usb drive manufacturers but results were the same

Hey guys,

I am running into an issue where the car keeps saying: "please connect the usb drive 1 to start the update" for my F10 with 2022-1 Next navigation software

I formatted the 64gb usb drive to fat32 and put all 5 folders and 3 files inside the root directly, its not working. I even tried two other usb drives, still no luck. Any advice?

I'm trying to update maps and need an FSC. I tried the generator I was unable to get it, I need your help.

new map is on USB and recognized, Road Map North America Next 2023 with the links provided.

Any help appreciated, I have been on BMW forums, but I have never actually participated.
I had an E46 around 05-06, and got back with an F10.

Hello, maybe someone can help me to get FSC code? I was able to get everything working, I got the the connection to my car, but then I add it on "BMW_CIC_FSC_Generator" I can't select region and maps.
Any idea what am I doing wrong? Or am I missing something?
I downloaded the HxD also, and I’m able to see the map region, but nothing on the generator.

The update took about a couple of hours from USB-3 drive.

BTW, I've used 256GB USB-3 drive formatted as FAT32 on Mac - worked nicely. Make sure to clean up all those hidden files if you do the same.

That’s costs me the same amt or even less than for key purchase, so I bought it for 10$ and updated . It worked ..

Also instead of downloading the Rufus software for formatting , I formatted in ex-fat in windows and it worked flawlessly. You can update the 1st page if it’s useful .
