90c thermostat in n63tu3

Anyone install a 90c thermostat in any newer 2019 or 2020 platform? I have the part and the appointment to install but the labor is going to significant so I'm starting to second guess the swap.

There is a little info for the F90 here:

It took me twice as long as the guy who did it in 1.5 hours. The upper radiator covers and cross bar have to come off and the fan has to come out. Even then access to the rear bolt is challenging unless maybe you have tiny hands.

I was concerned with throwing a code in the event the lower temps are confusing the ecu.

At least on my 2018 F90, there is no issue. I did this a year ago and have never had a code. I can’t say for sure that would be the same for a 2019/20 550i but that would be my best guess.

Cool, thanks for sharing. If and when I do it, I'll share the results.

The optional oem 90c tstat does not fit in place of the factory 105c unit. Bavlogic modified the original to 95c so that worked out.
