Full inspection done. How serious is this? Check out this quote

I have a '13 650 n63tu 69k odometer

How soon should I replace these coolant lines?

Went to my local dealer, got a full inspection since I've had the car for less than 3 months. Came back with some minor things (brake pads, rotors, seat belt tensioner) but the coolant lines stood out to me.

My SA made it seem like I shouldn't be too worried but I am a bit worried.

I would fix it for sure, but it is not going to blow up on you. The hoses under the clamps have expanded and contracted so many times the fittings are not perfectly tight. A slight coolant weep dries into that crusty stuff. Looks worse than it is. But don't pay dealer rates for that stuff, including brakes. They charge way too much. Again, glad I do all my own work.

Get it done. New parts are metal. Mine were replaced as a warranty job.

Was this part of the extended warranty?

Get it done, but get an Indy to quote too. Be sure that they quote to use the upgraded parts.

Mine was done under 3p warranty.

Do you have the part numbers for the upgraded hoses? I didn't know that they made full metal hoses.......

Being the cheap skate that I am, what about cleaning the deposits and putting another small clamp beside the standard ones?

I got a quote from one of the best shops in town, they do work on high end European vehicles and specialize in BMW's and Porsche's. They quoted me $950 with the upgraded lines.
Definitely going this route with them.

I thought there was a service bulletin for this or similar and it was free? Or am I making things up?
