Car changed colour on digital dash ?

As title says really. I've noticed in the past few days that the 6 series on the digital dash (see photos) has a yellow tint, i'm 100% sure that this is, and was normally white ?

is this an indicator for something ? just for reference there are no other warning lights or messages other than it's less than 3 degrees !

any ideas ?

Just thought. My brake fluid and MOT is due in three weeks so does it show as amber as a warning to tell me that something needs taking care of?

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say...but it sounds like the change from daytime to night time illumination.

During bright daylight hours...the instrument cluster lighting is white...between dusk to dawn (or if you go into a dark tunnel or parking garage) the illumination turns to the BMW's historically orange illumination.

Hi

I understand how the illumination changes from day to night etc. Its the 6 series car / symbol between the dials has started to show orange / amber. It was white, no matter what time of day it was. I wondered if it was a way of telling me that something was needed as a reminder. Then it dawned on me i have brake fluid and mot to attend to in a few weeks.

Looking at the pic it does say "Service Due..." maybe that color change is in response to the reminder that the car needs to be serviced.

He means the car icon in the middle of the dash changed from white to gold (amber?) out of nowhere. I am assuming its because the car is due for service as mentioned...by his car

Yep, nearing the required service. Once/if it is past due, the car will be red.
