Your opinion and my opinion do matter. In fact, that's why I received three polls from Edmunds and Maritz wanting to know my opinion of my new 2015 M6.

While I agree there are 100 fools on this planet, it is arguable whether or not it will sell faster than a Porsche Cayman GT4.

Only my opinion....

Its examples like this for when I question how low companies will go to milk every avenue for profit. I mean sheesh I wouldn't be in any rush to be in awe over this vehicle. Hopefully there is an amazing steering wheel hidden from view.

BMW has incredible brand value that has been built over a very long period of time by building incredible cars. The special editions before were truly special (remember the E46 CSL or the 30th anniversary M5 - more recently). This is literally stickers and an ugly paint job (for a road car. Would come across as a tool driving this on the road. Perhaps the owner should wear BMW branded shoes, jacket, gloves, hat and carry the M wallet while driving this car).

I'm sorry. There is nothing beneath the hood that sets it apart from other M6's. This is just plain daft and lazy on BMW's part.

BMW appears to be phoning this one in, as they did with so many of the limited edition E92 M3s a few years ago (Lime Rock, for example). Personally, I think the graphics on this M6 reduce the car's appeal...just a mess.

This is business, and BMW is in the business of selling cars. And they are not the No1. luxury car manufacturer for nothing. These 100 will sell out before they are even made. And you all know it.
Of course we know it. Which is why we're mad about it. Gives BMW more ammunition to build more cars that distract them from the cars that made them great in the first place.

The rivals for this Special Edition model are S Coupe 63/65 AMG, Bentley GT Speed, Porsche Panamera Turbo S (if you really want a P model), AM Vanquish or any other big GT car or very sporty limousine!
Comparing the prices of these models and taking into account their performances, I'm sure that M6 will be one of the best.
Any other comparison with track oriented cars is like apples with oranges!
Saying that someone who is interested about this car is a foul or this car is not a "real" special model doesn't understand the automotive industry.
About the colour of the presented model: it's the same with the Safety Cars from Moto GP!
Can you order this car with other colours? Yes, you can!
Did I read a lot of ignorant comments in this thread?! Unfortunately in too many in the last period

Not familiar with the AMG65 S Coupe. Is it also covered in brightly colored polymer stickers?

ETA: Ignorance is a wide ranging broom...

A more accurate statement might be that the M6's rivals are the S Coupe 63/65 AMG, Bentley GT Speed, Porsche Panamera Turbo S, AM Vanquish or any other big GT car or very sporty limousine.

The "competition model" is nothing more than a standard M6 with ZCP. The "special" model adds some CF pieces, unique lettering, and stickers. There's nothing "competitive" from this model, when compared to my ZCP M6, and inferring that it is a "competition" version of the M6 is again, insulting.

Shame on you BMW - first no updates on 2016 M5 and now another lazy attempt.

Do people really still use the word "tacky"? The funny thing is, when people call something that, it makes me think of that person as tacky!

Great, you have some funny associations in your head. But that's ok

The same point of M5 Jahre...
A limited production car with the highest possible price for those want to have a car that only handful people have that car over the world...
Pointless

The value of exclusivity "in this case" will become readily apparent upon resale - just sayin in other words some one may just get their feelings hurt

When I think "competition edition", I think about stripping out the rear seats for weight savings, serious engine upgrades and aero modifications from the factory. Like a GT3. If you are going to ask $30k-$40k over the standard price, you had better bring something substantial.

The competition edition is a joke. There is nothing "competition" about it.

Now, the M6 has unbelievable potential and I think that is the base for what could be an amazing "competition" car. As incredible as it is, I truly believe that BMW hasn't scratched the surface on what it's capable of doing.

This new offering is nothing more than a money grab at the end of a production run of the F13.

If you look at this video you see that the Competition Edition was just one option box to tick and it did come with the exhaust

The press release I read for it suggested it included the Akra exhaust, but I've never been interested enough in this variant (as I can't stand the graphics) to pay it much attention.
