So whats the verdict, should i bite the bullet and get this car or keep looking?

Its been on their lot for 55+ days with 2 price reductions ($60k to $58.9k to $57.5k now). Makes me scratch my head, leaning towards the color not being a top choice as everything else is A+

Have you indicated to the sales guy you have the ability to buy it if they hit your price?

They are part of Autonation, so they have a no haggle policy.. they dont negotiate, but do re-analyze the price/market weekly and adjust if need be. Id be happy @ $60K OTD (so around $55k + taxes and fees)

I dont NEED to buy a car right now, i can technically wait til Jan-March of 2020 when my current lease is up, but wouldnt mind picking up a M5/M6 GC if the right car/deal presents itself and ill have someone take over my current car. If I do wait, hopefully time next year I can get a similar deal on a 2016/17 MY with the LCI upgrades...maybe even a CPO 2018 M5 in the $75-85k range

Re-analyze = negotiate. I've had Sonic say and do the same thing...2 weeks later lord and behold they "re-analyzed" to my offer price.

True. I did tell them that id like to make an offer and their response was they are firm. But maybe if i sit with the decision maker vs the internet salesperson it would make an impactful difference

Based on the responses here, and doing a nationwide search on 2015 and 2016 MY , this specific car is actually the best value (for its options, mileage, condition, and CPO). And its at my local dealer. The ones that are cheaper are missing either CP or B&O or full leather, or some combination thereof...and might have few months less warranty. The ones with 4-6 months extra warranty are about $10k more

I think this would be an easier decision if it were MY 2016, a more favorable color, and at least 24 months of warranty.. even at a higher price..

You're doing it wrong. Just tell them your price, indicate how firm you are, and that you HAVE THE FUNDS NOW if they take the offer. You need to give them all indications you have funds and you will buy it if they agree.

Make sure they understand your offer is only good until a certain time or when someone else (a competitor) takes another offer.

Don't go in, until you have a firm agreement in hand

Don't skip on Comp Pack or full leather imho. Sounds like it is a good car and mostly what you're after.

Remember in 2 weeks the car is 1 year older.
I would wait for 2-3 weeks maybe they drop the price in you favour.

I almost bought the same identical car in July, but it had a little over 10,000 miles and the dealership wanted $74k. I offered $65k and they would only drop to $68.5k. I agreed but then when they started to jack me around on the service contract I told them it was a deal breaker. I look back and am glad I backed out as I was going to pay way too much for that car. 2 weeks later I bought a 2015 650i GC for $38k. It's not an M6, not nearly as badass, but it was $30 less and for now this is fine. In time I'll get my M6.

I really dig the Singapore Grey color, and it has the full Merino interior. I just wonder why they didn't vacuum the trunk when they took the pictures.

Got a notification email today that they have lowered the price to $56,795

Used M6/M6GC market must be soft, unlike the M5

At any rate, im holding off for a 2016+ .. the headlights look so much sleeker.. thanks everyone for your feedback

Just an update.. its been about 1.5 months since i saw this car.. Mr “we dont negotiate...autonation pricing” has come down $3,000, now $54,651. Silly IMO, i offered $55k back then, they said no.. now its a year older technically, and has 2 months less of CPO..and its been sitting for several months by now. Oh well. Im still looking for a 2016+

I literally just purchased a ‘16 M6 GC BSM/Black Extended leather, 126 MSRP, 1 owner 4.1K Miles, yes less than 1500 per year, sold and serviced by Barrington BMW ( Illinois) and is ( and I’m beyond fussy) perfect showroom condition. It was sold thru their Porsche store so no CPO although factory warranty runs until June 2020, K40 built in and Clear bra installed. Paid 69K which is on the higher end but with the mileage and condition/history thought it was the right move. So after purchasing I stumbled across an 18 Alpina that I want. I would let this go for a significant discount if I can make the Alpina numbers work. Not meeting to hijack your thread just putting it out there.
